Why is learning Arabic grammar important?

Here is a Quranic example that illustrates why awareness of Arabic grammar matters:

In this verse, there are two very similar words: “???????” and “???????”.
The only difference is the vowel (fatha vs kasra) on the first letter “?”.
– “???????” means those who believed (past verb).
– “???????” means Believe, you all! (command verb).
A small change in vowel changes both meaning and grammatical category.
